Winning Pitcher: Braedon Stoakes (4-1)

The Comets scored first and never looked back. Kaden Nowak had a 2-run single in the first, scoring Dominic Guzman and Logan Hylek. Another run was scored in the 2nd, Hylek singled home Braedon Stoakes who singled to lead-off the inning.

In the 3rd, GL scored 6 times,. Kaden Nowak doubled and later scored on a single from Logan Todd. Todd scored on a single from fellow freshman Noah Warren. After singles by Stoakes and Guzman, Cal Johnston ripped a double scoring 2 more Comets.

In the 4th, Todd and Logan Ashley singled and were driven home by a single by Guzman. Karson Shirey rounded out the scoring with an RBI single.

Stoakes tossed 5 innings of shutout baseball, allowing 1 hit and striking out 14 Vikings

Winning Pitcher: Logan Hylek (3-0)

Once again, the Comets scored early and often. In the bottom of the first Braedon Stoakes led-off with a single. Kaleb Burke followed with a double to left center. Logan Hylek ripped a single scoring both runners. Later in the inning, Kaden Nowak got an RBI single.

A 9-run second put the game out of reach. Burke hit a 2-run HR to lead the charge.

2 more runs in the finished out the game in a 15-run mercy.

Hylek tossed 3 innings, striking out 7

 

The Comets run their record to 18-2 (8-0)
