The 2017 Grand Ledge freshman volleyball team hit the court for the first time at home on Thursday, September 7th against CAAC Blue rival Lansing Sexton.
The host Comets got out to a quick start in the opening game and cruised to a 25-8 victory. Grand Ledge sealed the victory with a 25-7 win in the second game.
“I was impressed with the girls stepping up and applying the skills we have been working on at practice,” coach Matt Cox said.
Grand Ledge is back in action on Tuesday with another home match, this time against the Chiefs of Okemos. Start time for the freshman is 5:00 p.m.
