The Grand Ledge Varsity Boys lacrosse team is off to an 8-1 start and a 4-0 start within the Capital Area Activities Conference.
Notable victories include the first ever Grand Ledge varsity lacrosse win over Okemos High School. The Comets also posted a thrilling 12-11 double overtime win over Dewitt and an 8-4 win over a previously undefeated Tecumseh team.
The team is led by captains Nate Lalumia, Mason Meyer and Eric Brand. As of April 24th, the team is led in scoring by Jackson Alspaugh with 15 goals and 15 assists; Eric Brand with 21 goals and 9 assists; Mason Meyer with 16 goals and 10 assists; Casey Petersen with 10 goals and 5 assists; Connor Chapin with 9 goals and 1 assist; and Cole Williams with 6 goals and 4 assists.
Noah Wilson is the team’s goalie averaging 18 saves and only allowing 5 goals per game.
The Comets are back in action with a CAAC battle at East Lansing set to begin at 7:00 tomorrow.
