The freshmen girls bounced back from a tough loss at Pewamo-Westphalia on Tuesday (splitting the season series with the Pirates) with a dominating performance against the Vikings of Jackson.
The Comets were led offensively by an energetic Karlie Carter who poured in 17 point. Grand Ledge also got 10 points from floor general Ashton Fuentes and 10 points from precision perimeter shooter Gracie Bucholz.
Once again all 11 Comet players contributed in the 68-22 victory, including: 8 points from Maddy Meredith and Diana Gildo, and 7 points from MckEnna Burke. Renae Barker, McKenna Noldy, Laynee Brunk, and Natalie Wallas each had 2 points, while Ne’Vaeh Shessia also contributed without scoring by ripping a couple rebounds and a adding a nice assist.
The Comets very impressive season record improves to 11-3. The freshman are at East Lansing on Monday for a 5:30 tip off.
