Pom - Orange Bowl

Six Varsity members of the Grand Ledge Pompon team earned the honor of performing as Mid-American Pompon (MAPP) All Stars during the halftime show at the Orange Bowl in Miami Florida on December 30, 2016. All Stars executed a routine to a musical composition of the songs Body Moves, Toothbrush, and Cake by the Ocean with the pop band DNCE.

The MAPP All Star Team was created as an avenue for high school pompon and dance teams throughout Michigan to showcase their skills in a noncompetitive environment, increasing awareness of pompon and dance through local and national venues. Tryouts for the All Star Team take place during MAPP Summer Camps and are open to Varsity team members who will be entering 9-12th grade in the up-coming season.

Grand Ledge Varsity Pompon All Star members for the 2016-2017 year are seniors Hannah Bacon, Aliyah Clark, and Kaylie Roberts, along with juniors Sierra DeRosia, Larissa Kilgore, and Devon Senczyszyn. In addition to their regular pompon commitments, these girls devoted hours of additional training on routines for both the Thanksgiving Day Parade in Detroit and the halftime show at the Orange Bowl in Miami. Proud to have these talented and dedicated athletes representing Grand Ledge!
