Volleyball Advances to CAAC Blue Tournament Semi-Final Tonight

The Grand Ledge varsity girls volleyball team avenged an loss earlier this season against Jackson, this time hitting the road for a three set victory over the Vikings.

The Comets scored 25-17, 25-23, 25-14 game victories for the sweep.

“We had a great win against Jackson who we lost to earlier in the season,” said Grand Ledge coach Danielle Borgman. “The girls played great! We minimized our errors, created huge runs in the score and had high energy.”

Julia Jaros had 11 kills, Abbie Schaner and Olivia Belding combined for 14 assists and Chloe Smith had 10 digs.  Abbie, Julia and Belding had 2 aces each and Julia had 2 blocks.

“We are ready to go against Holt again on Thursday,” coach Borgman said.

The freshman and JV will start at 5:00 with the varsity match against the Rams to follow at approximately 6:00 p.m.
